Drymen Families
Children and Young People
Our children are very much part of our church family and we care for them at different ages in different ways. All our children join us for the start of the service at 11.30am and go out to their groups after the children's talk and hymn.
Every Sunday we have a crèche on offer for families to leave small children or stay with them if they prefer. From around age three we introduce a bible story and activity within the crèche setting. This means children can have some play time and depending on their concentration they can join in if they wish. Older children go out to K4C (P1-6) and the Upstairs Group (P7-S4).

Kids 4 Christ
Children in P1-P6 have their own group which meets in the halls beside the church entrance during the service. We normally have a theme for the term, last year we did the Lord's Prayer and then the life of Moses. We have recently been detectives investigating who the baby Jesus was and what evidence there is. We try to tailor the theme with the interest of the children who are attending.
The Upstairs Room
From Primary 6 up our young people have a more serious discussion group as we encourage them to look into the Bible for themselves.

We also hold a Christingle service for families during Christmas Week. Children make Christingle candles while parents mingle over mulled wine before joining in the church for carols.
SUMMER HOLIDAY CLUB
Prior to Covid we ran a week long holiday club in August for primary children. This always had a Bible theme and included lots of fun activities.
We hope to resume this in Summer 2023.
